Comparison of different estimation methods for the inverse weighted Lindley distribution

چکیده
In this paper, different estimation methods are considered for the parameters of inverse weighted Lindley (IWL) distribution introduced by Ramos et al.(2019). Parameters IWL estimated method maximum likelihood (ML), least squares (LS), (WLS), Cram´er-von Mises (CVM) and Anderson Darling (AD). The performances estimators compared using Monte Carlo simulation study via bias, mean square error deficiency (Def) criteria. Finally, a real data set is analyzed illustrative purposes.

The generalized weighted Lindley distribution: Properties, estimation and applications
Abstract: In this study, a three-parameter lifetime distribution namely generalized weighted Lindley (GLW) distribution is proposed. The GLW distribution is an useful generalization of the weighted Lindley distribution which accommodates increasing, decreasing, decreasing-increasing-decreasing, bathtub, and unimodal hazard rate making it a flexible model for reliable data. A significant account...
متن کاملExtended inverse Lindley distribution: properties and application
In this paper, we introduce an extension of the inverse Lindley distribution, which offers more flexibility in modeling upside-down bathtub lifetime data. Some statistical properties of the proposed distribution are explicitly derived. These include density and hazard rate functions with their behavior, moments, moment generating function, skewness, kurtosis measures, and quantile function. Max...
متن کاملEstimation Methods for the Parameters of Birnbaum-Saunders Distribution
Abstract: Depending on the type of distribution, estimation of parameters are not sometimes simple in practice. In particular, this is the case for Birnbaum-Saunders distribution (BS). In this article, we present four different methods for estimating the parameters of a BS distribution. First, a simple graphical technique, analogous to probability plotting, is used to estimate the parameters an...
متن کاملBias-Corrected maximum likelihood estimation of the parameters of the weighted Lindley distribution
This report discusses the calculation of analytic second-order bias techniques for the maximum likelihood estimates (for short, MLEs) of the unknown parameters of the distribution in quality and reliability analysis. It is well-known that the MLEs are widely used to estimate the unknown parameters of the probability distributions due to their various desirable properties; for example, the MLEs ...
متن کاملon the comparison of keyword and semantic-context methods of learning new vocabulary meaning
the rationale behind the present study is that particular learning strategies produce more effective results when applied together. the present study tried to investigate the efficiency of the semantic-context strategy alone with a technique called, keyword method. to clarify the point, the current study seeked to find answer to the following question: are the keyword and semantic-context metho...
